Audits for Agricultural/Food Processing Customers

What is an Energy Audit?
An energy audit allows us to analyze your facility's energy use and make recommendations for improvements based on your current systems. The audit is customized for your unique situation, and is a powerful tool to help guide decision-making for energy investments.

How Do I Get Started?
First, call us or choose another way to contact us to discuss your operation and facility. We'll determine if an on-site audit would be useful. In some instances, only a phone survey is necessary and we can discuss recommendations with you over the phone; these recommendations will help guide your decision-making, but you will not have an auditor visit your facility. If a walk-through audit is right for you, we will schedule one at a time convenient for you.

What Happens at the Site Visit?
During the site visit, we will observe the energy uses in your facility, recording data such as equipment run times, nameplate information, and hours of operation. This data will then be used to create a customized, multi-page narrative report for you.

What Happens Afterward?
We will write your audit report, recommending the installation of measures, and complete with estimates of the savings and rebates you could receive through the program. This report will explain which measures save the most energy, allowing you to prioritize the investments you make in energy efficiency.

You will receive your audit report through the mail, in person, or via email-whichever you prefer. We will then review the audit with you. We will continue to work with you to select, purchase, and install recommended measures. You will also receive assistance in applying for the cash rebates available through this program.
